42 arrested in anti-drug operation in Dhaka
Our Islam Desk: Various crime and intelligence departments of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have conducted anti-narcotics operations in different areas of the capital. Police have arrested 42 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs.
During the arrest, 12110 pieces of yaba, 364 grams of heroin and 30 kg of 900 grams of ganja were recovered from their custody.
As part of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s regular anti-narcotics operation from Monday (13 February 2023) from 6:00 am to 6:00 am today, raids were conducted in various police station areas of the capital and they were arrested and narcotics recovered.
36 cases under the Narcotics Control Act have been registered against the arrested in the concerned police stations.
