Shahidul Islam, a farmer of Sirajganj, has succeeded in growing flowers in a polynet house (greenhouse). He spent 30 thousand rupees to cultivate flowers on the 12th century land in Polinet. Already sold flowers worth 70 thousand taka. There are several other flowers in the garden.
Farmer Shahidul Islam of Ekdala village of Sadar Upazila is very happy with bumper crop of flowers. Her house is covered with chrysanthemums, marigolds and roses. Currently, he is busy picking and marketing flowers. Due to the demand of flowers, flowers are being sold in different districts of the country. Seeing this, many other farmers in the region have taken initiative to grow flowers and vegetables in polynet houses.

According to Sirajganj Sadar Upazila Agriculture Office, a polynet house has been constructed in Ratankandi of Sirajganj Sadar Upazila under the agricultural development project of Rajshahi Division through modern methods. The main objective of this pollinate house is to cultivate various high value crops and flowers. Especially cultivating lettuce, capsicum and various flowers.
Again winter flowers and crops can be cultivated in summer. The climate is controlled in polynet houses. Many times due to cold currents, droughts, heavy rains and lack of rain, it is difficult to cultivate high value crops. But Polynet House will not have this problem. Early crops are being cultivated here. Farmers are getting fair price.
Farmer Shahidul Islam said, farming in polynet house is going to be safe from natural disasters. Good quality tomato, capsicum, lettuce, cauliflower, cabbage can be grown in rainfed. Once the land was empty after cultivation. But after the arrival of Politen, the land is no longer fallow. There are no different flower cultivation initiatives in this area. There has been a bumper crop of flowers this year.
