Police case against patient-relatives of beaten victims, accused 60

It is known that the Indian company ‘Sandor’ has set up a kidney dialysis center at Chamek Hospital. For so long, the organization was bringing 510 taka per session in the government and 2 thousand 795 taka in the private sector. But now it has increased to 535 taka in government and 2 thousand 935 taka in private. In this, kidney patients started a movement.

Patients and their relatives were protesting in front of Sandor Dialysis Private Limited on the ground floor of Chittagong Medical for four days demanding reduction in dialysis fees. On Tuesday, they blocked KB Fazlul Quader Road in front of the main gate of the hospital.

The victims said they were beaten up by the police when they stood on the road demanding a reduction in fees. OC of Panchlaish Police Station.
