Iran has already executed four protesters. A group of civilians demonstrated overnight in front of a prison in the country after reports that two more protesters were being prepared to be executed. This information was given in a BBC report.
The protests that erupted across Iran over the death of Kurdish teenager Mahsha Amini in Niti police custody last September have largely subsided, the report said. At that time, Iran’s security forces became stricter in suppressing the protests.
Apart from indiscriminate firing on the protesters, many protesters were also arrested. Those facing charges such as killing or seriously injuring members of the security forces and conspiracy against the state are being tried in court. Many of them were sentenced to death.
Various international human rights organizations were quick to call the verdict a ‘farce in the name of justice’. Many have also called on the Iranian authorities to stop it. But regardless, the Iranian authorities started executing the sentence from last December.

Four protesters have already been executed. People gathered in front of the prison and chanted slogans demanding their release after news broke that two more protesters were being prepared to be executed at the Rajai Shah prison in Karaj city.
Some anti-government activists in Iran posted several videos of the protests on social media. Mohammad Gubadlu is one of the two who could be sentenced to death. His mother urged the protesters gathered in front of the prison to calm down.

Two of the four protesters previously sentenced to death, Mohsen Shekhari and Majid Reza Rehnavard, were publicly hanged just four days apart in early December. Both of them were 23 years old.
Mohsen was accused of stabbing a member of the paramilitary force with a large knife during a blockade of a main road in Tehran last September. And Majid Reza was convicted and sentenced to death for killing two members of the security forces.

And the two who were hanged last Saturday (January 7) are Mohammad Mahdi Karami and Syed Mohammad Hosseini. They were found guilty of killing a member of Iran’s paramilitary forces during the protests.
Mahsha, 22, died in police custody in mid-September after she was arrested for not following Iran’s strict dress code for women, sparking protests in her city since her burial. Which is not a form of violent protests against Islamic rule across Iran in a few days.

Human rights activist news agency HRANA claims 516 protesters have been killed so far in the protests. 70 of the dead are children. The organization claims that another 19,262 people have been arrested. 68 members of Iran’s security forces were killed while suppressing the protests.
