Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) campaign to use banana trees in drains to stop sewage from connecting to surface drains, canals or lakes in the capital’s Gulshan.
In continuation of this, DNCC is preparing for call tree therapy campaign in Baridhara on Wednesday (January 11).
DNCC Public Relations Officer Maqbool Hossain said that DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam will personally conduct the operation in Baridhara today. Basically, this operation will be conducted to stop the connection of sewage to surface drains, canals or lakes.
DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam had earlier said, we have started the campaign to stop the connection of sewage to surface drains, canals or lakes. Our campaign will continue, no one will be spared here. We have already prepared this list. We will conduct raids in all such houses. Where no one will get any discount.
Earlier, on January 4, DNCC used banana trees in the drains to stop the connection of sewage to surface drains, canals or lakes in the capital’s Gulshan.
