Nanshree Chairman of Karpasha Union Parishad of Nikli Thana of Kishoreganj is starting the waj mahfil after the 13-year journey is coming to an end.
Muhaddis Mufti Misbah Uddin Rahmani of Kishoreganj Bara Qajar Jamia Islamia madrasa confirmed this information to Awar Islam on Thursday (February 9).
He said that with the efforts of some Mukhlis people of the area, the Yatrapala program which has been going on for 13 years has been transformed into a festival. Among those who have come forward in this great work, the current running chairman, two two-time successful chairman Taqi Aman Khan are particularly notable.
He also said that there are about 80 members of the Yatrapal committee. They were led by Md. Azizul Haque Nyasha, Bachir Uddin Bachchu member, Md. Aftab Uddin Aftu is particularly notable. They have repented and returned at the invitation of the scholars of the area. He has made a firm commitment to hold a mahfil at the place of Yatrapala.
Among the ulama who have been making concerted efforts to stop this pilgrimage for many years, Maulana Mufti Mifbah Uddin Rahmani Maulana Anwar Hossain Ashrafi Maulana Ala Uddin Maulana Sharif Bin Murshid has also made a special contribution to the local ulama.
He said, on the occasion of giving turbans to Hafez students of Bhati Nanshri Darul Qur’an Noorani Hafiziya Madrasa and on the initiative of Nanshri trade fair, this waj mahfil was organized for 2 days on February 11 and 12.
Chairman of Karpasha Union Parishad No. 3 Taki Aman Khan (Aman) will be present as the President of Waj Mahfil and cultural program.
