When does Valentine’s Day start? The word love is easily confused with all instincts. Because since birth, people grow up around this love. And so everyone’s thoughts about the day of love are also special.
The story of the beginning of this day is also very colorful.
Let’s explore the background of “Valentine’s Day” in the pages of history:
Beginning of the day in our country, Valentine’s Day appeared in our country around 1993. Journalist personality: Shafiq Rehman, studied in London. He was used to western customs.
Back home, he started Valentine’s Day. Although there are many types of disagreements about this, in the end Shafiq Rehman’s thought attracts the new generation more. This is the beginning of the day in our country.
Even though the day of February 14 is colored by our love throughout the year, love is everyday. Love determines the pace of life. People live in love.
‘Love’ is the sweetest tenderest human feeling in the world. There are many myths about love.
The search for love is found everywhere in literature, art and culture. And so February 14 is a desired day for generations. The day is observed with great interest and joy all over the world.
Like the rest of the world, the day is filled with revelry in our country with the unbridled joy and pure exuberance of youth. What’s up this Valentine’s Day?
How did it originate? Why the call for love festival around it? Different people have different opinions about the answers to the questions. The most common history of these is:
(1) Of the priest St. Valentine. Saint Valentine was a philanthropist, social and benevolent and preacher of Christianity.
And Roman Emperor Claudius II believed in the worship of various gods and goddesses.
When asked by the emperor to worship the gods, Valentine refused and was imprisoned. Valentine was executed on February 14, 270 AD for defying state orders after refusing the emperor’s repeated edicts to renounce Christianity. Starting from that day. There is also another common phenomenon:
(2) About Saint Valentine. After St. Valentine was imprisoned, many young men and women in love visited him in prison every day and presented him with flowers. They used to keep St. Valentine excited by saying various motivational sayings. A blind daughter of a prison guard also visited Valentine. For a long time they both talked openly. Once Valentine falls in love with her. Saint Valentine’s spiritual healing restores blind girl’s sight.
When the emperor heard about Valentine’s love and the love of the country’s youth for him, he was enraged and sentenced him to death on February 14, 269 AD.
(3) Also, according to Christian history, the imperialistic, bloodthirsty Roman emperor Claudius of 269 AD needed a large army. Once there was an army crisis in his army.
But no one is willing to join his army. The emperor noticed that unmarried youths were extremely patient in the difficult moments of war. As a result, he banned young people from marrying or becoming couples. So that they do not show reluctance to join the army. His announcement angered the youth of the country. Even a young priest named Saint Valentine could not accept the emperor’s ban. At first she defied the king’s orders by marrying for love to St. Marius and secretly taught marriage in his church. The bride and groom were seated in a room and in the dim light of candles, Valentine used to whisper the marriage spell.
But once this matter came to the ears of Emperor Claudius, he ordered the arrest of St. Valentine. On February 14, 270 AD, the soldiers dragged Valentine before the emperor, who ordered his execution.
(4) According to another Christian history, a Roman rite was still observed throughout Europe when Christianity was victorious. In mid-February, all the young men of the village would write down the names of all the girls and deposit them in a container or box. Then every young man would take a note from that box, in whose hands the name of the girl would appear, he would be engrossed in the love of that girl.
This is how today’s program begins, how can a young Muslim woman accept it. It is a completely alien culture, may Allah Ta’ala grant us all Tawfeek to refrain from alien culture, Ameen.
