Erdogan gave adhan to the child who survived the earthquake
Our Islam Desk: A week after the terrible earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, the death toll has not decreased. At the same time, miracles are happening one after the other. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey called a prayer in the ears of a child who survived the earthquake and named him.
He named the newborn during a visit to a hospital in Istanbul on Monday.
According to the Turkish news agency Anadolu report, President Erdogan visited Kam and Sakura City Hospital in Basaksehir city of Istanbul to see the survivors of the earthquake. At that time, he gave adhan in the ears of the newborn girl and named her at the request of her mother. The Turkish leader named the newborn ‘Ayse Betul’. He uttered the name three times.
On February 6, a strong earthquake of magnitude 7.8 hit 10 southern and eastern provinces of Turkey. Those who were injured and rescued from the rubble are being treated in different cities of the country, including the capital Ankara and Istanbul. So far, more than 31,500 people have lost their lives in Turkey due to the terrible earthquake. More than 80 thousand people were injured.
About 5,500 people were killed in the earthquake in neighboring Syria. The United Nations said on Monday that more than 50,000 people could be killed in both countries in this terrible earthquake.
