52 arrested in anti-narcotics campaign
Various crime and intelligence departments of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have conducted anti-narcotics operations in different areas of the capital. Police have arrested 52 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs.
During the arrest, 3,513 pieces of yaba, 400.1 grams of 50 Puria heroin, 9 kg of 300 grams of ganja and 122 bottles of Phensidil were recovered from their custody.
As part of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s regular anti-narcotics operation, from 09 February 2023, 6 am to 6 am today, raids were conducted in various police station areas of the capital and they were arrested and narcotics recovered.
42 cases under the Narcotics Control Act have been registered against the arrested in the concerned police stations.
