In 2019, 2.6 million people were able to perform Hajj before the coronavirus outbreak. However, the country allows a limited number of people to perform Hajj in 2020 and 2021.
In a tweet, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that no restrictions (including age limits) will be imposed on the 2023 Hajj.
In 2022, only people between the ages of 18 and 65 are allowed to perform Hajj. Additional conditions were to take a full dose of the coronavirus vaccine and not suffer from any chronic disease. Hajj season 2023 is scheduled to start from June 26.
